This is a comprehensive self-paced program on all aspects of running a product-based business. I signed up when I was paralyzed with indecision in my baby business, Waku Waku Baby back in 2020. I have always wanted to be an artist but have put aside this dream until I took Immersion. This immersive class teaches everything you need to know to start a career as a surface pattern designer. Not only do you learn everything you need to make patterns in Adobe Illustrator, you learn how to tell your unique story and the steps you need to take the start a career in surface pattern design. Bonnie is the sweetest human being and her community is one of the kindest around.

In this series of 7+ juicy interviews with actual owners and founders of small businesses that sell POD (print-on-demand) products, you gain so much insight on what they are looking for from surface pattern designers. These interviews helped me realize whether I am a good fit for these companies. After listening to these interviews, I felt more comfortable pitching my work to them as I felt like I already got to know them through their interviews. They provide you with very detailed brief along with mood boards, keywords, and lots of inspiration so you can take your collection in any way you want without starting from scratch. They have offered Art Calls in the past where they partnered with companies looking for new work, which I thought was really cool!
